Acesta le interpreteza in valori intregi cuprinse intre 0 si 1023. Astfel putem determina daca este prezenta o sursa de ultraviolete (focul) si la ce distanta se afla. Ei bine, am studiat mai multe metode, printre care folosirea senzorului de temperatura, folosirea senzorului IR (infrared), prelucrarea de imagini, precum si alti senzori. UV Tron este un senzor de radiatii ultraviolete, produs de compania Hamamatsu, care face posibila detectarea unei surse de foc de marimea flacarii produsa de o bricheta, de la o distanta de 5 metri. Deoarece senzorul era disponibil doar in Statele Unite si Marea Britanie, iar cei din Anglia nu accepta comenzi din Romania "pe cale naturala" a durat o vreme pana am intrat in posesia senzorului comandat. Cele doua punți le-am conectat prin-un arbore de transmisie. Problema era că sistemul de transmisie acționa ca un reductor, și turația roților era mică, chiar dacă motorul rula la maxim. Așa am ajuns, după mai multe discuții, să vorbim despre robotul-pompier, care este capabil sa găsescă un focar de incendiu, și să-l elimine.
